Edan Bullerwell
Canadian Singer Songwriter
Edan's voice is one that projects well, and leads the listener directly to the genre of modern country.
"Lines" is a Bullerwell/Burnett song, which laments the parting of the ways between lovers, and offers a bittersweet hope that their paths will meet again, somewhere down that long and lonely road of life.
The project came to the Blacksmtihs as a request to provide Steinway and Rhodes session parts, which we duly experimented with, until one of the various tracking ideas settled into something suitable for the overall feel and dynamic of the song. Ideas in place, we sent rendered parts via FTP to Canada for inclusion in the mix you can hear below.
The track was produced by Sandy Burnett, based out of Pulsworks Audio Arts in Saskatoon, Canada, with whom we have a long standing friendship and creative relationship.
The sounds we eventually settled upon come from the Kurzweil K2500, which although a little bright for solo work are just perfect for fitting in a mix, and work well to compete with other guitar and keyboard sounds.
The resulting track, which you can hear by clicking below, is being considered for Edan's forthcoming album.
